Alice in Wonderland Trailer
Last semester, I took the optional class “Introduction to Novels” and I read the “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking Glass”. This year, when I went to see one movie, I saw the trailer of a new movie “Alice in Wonderland”. As soon as I saw that trailer, I decided right away I must see that movie as long as it is on. And since it is available in the theater now, I go with my friend to see this fantastic film!
After the teacher of “Introduction to Novels” discussed with us about the “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”, I felt so fascinated and so interested in Alice. I found the novel was so good and while I was reading it, I just could not help but laugh out loud for several times. For me, to read this novel was like to go back to my childhood and be a child again. It’s a very good novel that could make you don’t want to stop until finishing it. When I read this novel, I just had my childhood memories flashback and it felt so great. The smile caused by the novel was as pure and innocent as that of a child. I didn’t know how to express this kind of feeling. This novel just gave me refreshment and made me felt as if I had been a child. So I expected this movie so much and I hoped that I could have the same fun as I found in the book.

The director made some changes to the novel, he changed the age of Alice and made her be an elder girl than in the novel. Yeah, I admitted I felt a little disappointed because I wanted to see the little cute Alice originally. However, after she followed the rabbit and jumped into the hole. I found so many similarities between the movie and the novel, so I became into the movie. Almost every move Alice did made me tickle because I just thought of the descriptions and illusions in the novel. Disney did make amazing animations that made the characters in the wonderland so interesting and so charming. Disney made the world so colorful and it’s just like a world in a fairy tale. I also wanted to visit there myself, too! The dressing and makeup of the characters caught every one’s eye. The movie also had some funny scenes that made people smiled. I most liked the style of the red queen thought everybody thought she looked funny, I thought everything around were so fascinating!
The most amazing part was the director made “Jabberwocky” real. It was originally a monster in the novel and its story was from a nonsense poem. I felt so amazed to see that monster appear in the novel. And the modeling of Jabberwocky was almost the same as the picture in the novel. Also, the hatter seemed to quote some nonsense poem when he mentioned about Jabberwocky. It just made me feel pleased because I thought of the class of “Introduction to Novels”. I was so happy because I thought I had a new way to see this movie because I had some classes about that novel beforehand. It truly cheered me up because I understood that the knowledge I learned was not only limited in class, but could be used in the regular life. It’s so great that I read the novel before so I could always make comparisons and contrasts between the movie and the novel while seeing the film. It was so much fun than just sitting there seeing without any backgrounds.
