With the approach of Christmas, people start to prepare Christmas presents for their friends and families. Many stores are also decorated with colorful bulbs and Christmas trees and related decorations. So you can find the windows of every store are so beautiful and they remind you Christmas is coming so you have to get some gifts.

It has been a very long time since the last time I went into a candy shop. I remember when I was in elementary school and junior high school, I always liked to go to candy shops no matter if I want to buy presents to others or not. My friends and I just liked to go into there and bought some cute candies. At that time, if somebody’s birthday was coming, I always liked to give him a pack of colorful candies as a gift. Maybe as a little, to see lots of kinds of candies could make me feel so happy and content.



I just passed by “Sophisca” candy shop and suddenly was attracted by the colorful decorations of it and also a human-sized Santa doll which was dancing as well as saying “Hohoho!” So I went into the store and was amazed to find many people were busy picking up the candies and lots of people were waiting in line to pay. This scene made me feel so shocked because it was 3 p.m. and people in the store were not children, but adults. I always thought that I was too old to go into a candy shop to buy candies; also I thought if I gave people candies as gifts, people would think I am childish. However, from the situation in the store, people didn’t think that way as I did. People in the store just looked so happy and excitedly talked about what kind of candy they should get. So, I felt interested, too and then I went into the store try to find out what’s different between now and before. I thought there’s a child always living in my heart because when I saw those cute and colorful candies, I just couldn’t help grabbing a basket and started to pick up what I wanted.

The decorations in the store are very cute and colorful. The store gives people the atmosphere of Christmas. You can always see Christmas trees, Santa’s hats and stockings there. Also, patterns of snow man, Christmas trees and deer are printed on candies and boxes. Except for the Christmas merchandise, there are still other interesting candies, such as a jar of chocolate jam, which is wrapped as if it was a kind of medicine. Also, some candies are given new names to make them really funny. Kinds of candies are put into a box which is like the shape of a cake. Chocolate and a cute bear are put together as another kind of gift. Cute lollipops really captivate me. Kinds of flavors candy canes make me want to but one box home! Everything you see on the shelf is eatable, and they just disguise as if they were not candies. Because everything there is so cute and looks do delicious, I just want to buy them all back home!

World of PIE

After the introduction of the donuts, I want to introduce another kind of dessert- Rose Pie!

Sometimes the pie is too sweet to eat. However, “Rose Pie” is just good. The pie there is not too sweet and is very good to eat. I also cannot tolerate the too sweet pie, so “Rose Pie” becomes my favorite.




When I just pass by “Rose Pie”, the window of it attracts me to go in there because behind the window is a big transparent freezer in which are lots of colorful pies. Every of them attract me to “buy one home.” Because of the beautiful colors and the delicious- looking appearances, the pies make me cannot stand the eager to buy one. So, every time I pass by the store, I just slow down and walk into it and buy one or two pies home. It’s just like my feet being out of control.

I think one reason I like to eat dessert so much is because I believe that eating something sweet can cheer people up and get rid of all the bad mood of one’s mind. Also, I think many girls think the dessert in the same way, so they just get something sweet when they feel down or upset.

I just need lots of time to decide which one I want to eat because every of them look so delicious and mouth- watering. As if every of them are saying ” Eat me! Eat me! ” As the result, I always ask the waitress to help other guests first because I need a long time to consider which one is better to eat. I know it sounds stupid but I am just serious about it and I don’t know why.

In “Rose Pie”, there are lots of flavors of pies, such as red beans, chocolate, strawberry, cheese, coffee, taros, pudding, blueberry, apple, puff, milk and mango. And sometimes the flavors are combined in one pie, so you can taste two or three different flavors at the same time.
By the way, the clerk told me that the famous kinds in the shop are chocolate and taros, so maybe you can order one of them next time!

If you don’t want to eat too much cream, maybe you can get the flavor “red beans” because it doesn’t contain lots of cream and is almost made of red beans. So it will not taste so greasy.

I think I am a sweet tooth. When I feel upset or sad, I always want to eat something sweet. Sweet food can always cheer me up. And recently, I find myself get addicted to one kind of desert- Donuts.

I always like donuts since I was a child. Almost all the children can’t stand the attraction of sweet donuts. I remembered the donuts I ate when I was a child were made in a traditional way, which was to fry the bough and sprinkle powder sugar on the donuts. However, donuts which are popular now are different from the traditional ones. There are many shapes of donuts and not only powder sugar are sprinkled on them, but lots of other materials, such as different flavors of chocolate, almond, cinnamon, peanuts and cream. People put different materials on donuts to make them have more and special kinds. Also, by the colorful appearances, donuts can attract people’s attention more easily.

Although the most famous donuts chains in Taiwan are “Mister Donuts”, my favorite donuts are from other shop-“Dunkin’ Donuts”. I think the donuts in Dunkin’ Donuts are much more delicious than those in Mister Donuts. And its chains are not many, so if I want to eat, I have to go to Chung Yo Department Store.

The shop is at B3. You can find it easily because you can see many racks on which are lots of colorful donuts. I think the scene can attract lots of people. Next to the counter is a place for people to rest for a while. Dunkin’ Donuts not only serves donuts but also many kinds of drinks, such as coffee, black tea, milk tea and juice. You can just order two donuts and a cut of drink, and have a seat there. You can enjoy your own time or you can invite friends to share the happy time with you. I think a cup of coffee and two donuts are good for afternoon tea.

It always takes me lots of time to decide which kind of donuts I want to eat, because every kind seems to be attractive to me! There are lots of kinds of donuts, such as yeast, mochi rings, donut shells, cake donuts and donut squares. I think every kind tastes good but among them, I like mocha rings most. Mochi rings taste so Q just like chewing gums. I don’t like too soft donuts so Mochi rings become my favorite. The shape of Mochi ring is like a pearl bracelet. They not only look cute but are very good to eat!

Every kind of donuts has different flavors itself so you should try one someday. You know you can’t stand the strong attraction of colorful donuts!

Dance with CHEESE!

It’s a cold day when we went to Franco Papa, but it warmed us with its light yellow hue of the decorations. Its light color made me feel so energetic and comfortable.

The decorations of Franco Papa were kind of Italian. When I went into it, I felt like being in the Italian country. The atmosphere there made people want to relax themselves and talk with their friends for a long time. The atmosphere there will make you want to stay longer.

When the waiter gave us the menu, it just appealed everyone’s attention because every dish on the menu looked so delicious. It took us quite a time to decide which dishes we want to order.

As you can see from the photos, every meal looks good and mouth-watering.

Among the dishes we ordered, the one I recommended most was there pizza. Just seeing the photo made me feel so hungry and I could already imagine how delicious it would be. When the waiter served the pizza, you could still see the cheese bubbling and it smelled so good. I always can’t stand hot cheese! And when we picked up one piece, you could see the melting cheese flowing down from the toppings. Then put one into your mouth, and you could feel a variety of toppings and hot cheese and crispy crust in your mouth. Everything was combined together in harmony. The flavor was beyond description.

The flavors of the pizza were Italian sausage and seafood, which meant that people can taste two different flavors at a time. It’s great! The pizza was topped with sausage, squids, shrimps, tomatoes, colorful peppers, onion and of course lots of cheese. It was also accompanied with a little shovel to let you slice the pizza and as a tool to eat. It’s so cute!

Also, Franco Papa serves one meal which is kind of like a hot pot and the most special of it is its soup is milk, so milk will make the soup taste smoothly. The main stuffs in this hot pot are pumpkins, chicken and various vegetables. It will be served with biscuits, which you can dip with or soak in the soup. Whatever the way you choose to eat them is very good.

If you want, try some appetizer. The one in the photo is biscuits containing sausage, beef and cheese. You can feel the cheese flowing into your mouth when you bite a bit! The appetizer in another photo is fries and is also dipped with cheese. Both of them are tasteful!

There are too many meals in Franco Papa so I cannot finish introducing them right away. You should go by yourself and it’s the best way to know how delicious the food is there! Where can you find a place suitable for hanging out with friends and serving good food? Franco Papa!
